Michael Fangs most recent album “You’re A Sick Nasty Person”, which was released on October 30 is making the rounds. The album is the first extended play by the rap artist, and is the latest addition to his discography.
Fang’s new album has 4 tracks and has a total runtime of 7 minutes. In spite of the short duration, Michael Fang has described his emotions about some fruitless situations through his vocals and music. The tracks represent a disorderly mental state, and mirror the struggles and misfortune occurring in the artist’s life.
In the tracks, the most noticeable element is the aversion the artist feels towards the world. The lyrics represent a wish to step outside the boundaries of this world, as a means of escape and redemption. This can be observed in every track as a main theme, regardless of how melodically different the tracks may be. This album has been released as a way of connecting with fans, and keeping them on the same page when it comes to the issues surrounding the life of the artist. It unveils the reality behind the covers, and shows that memories may not always be the most pleasant areas to revisit.
The new EP lists Karim Saidi and Damn Tito as the producers, and the album features Li Blanc as a featured artist on the track “Nah No One”. The credits of mixing, writing, production and mastering the tracks all go to Michael Fang.
