The Seattle Seahawks will be facing a familiar opponent Saturday when they travel to Atlanta to battle the Atlanta Falcons in the NFC’s Divisional Playoff round. Saturday’s game will be a rematch of the October 16th game in which a 44-yard field goal by Steven Hauschka gave the Seahawks a 26 to 24 win over the visiting Falcons.
The Seahawks uncharacteristically gave up a 17-3 half lead before responding with a nine-point fourth quarter that saw them to victory. The Falcons are coached by former Seahawks defensive coordinator Dan Quinn. With such familiarity abound the question is there a danger of thinking too much about the opponent.
Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll gave the following injury update. Rookie running back C.J. Prosise returned to practice after missing the past seven games with a shoulder injury, fullback Marcell Reece also practiced and Thomas Rawls is fully healthy.
