The 50th Anniversary of the Seattle Chapter of the Black Panther Party takes place in Seattle,
April 26-28, 2018. The weekend will feature presentations, workshops, exhibits, performances, tours and more. The BPP50 Anniversary Organizing Committee seeks to engage the services of a
Project Management Consultant to facilitate the planning and execution of all lead-up and anniversary weekend events and activities.
Scope and Desired Competencies: Finalize project planning with the 50th Anniversary Organizers; Facilitate committee, consultant, and volunteer efforts during project implementation; Contribute to the management of online systems and communications strategy; Overseeall aspects of 3-day conference with contracted event and volunteer coordinators; Document progress.
Applicants should have experience with event and/or conference production including management, budgeting, marketing, community outreach, and communications. Ideal candidates should be aware of the historical struggle of the Black Panthers.
Term: October 2017 – May 2018 Compensation: $17,500
