Melton “Dewey” Jefferson was born in Stuttgart, Germany to parents Carrie B. Williams and Melton M. Jefferson. Raised in Seattle, WA, Dewey made a name for himself as a dancer, natural comedian, and exceptional refrigeration mechanic. Most remember him for his generous love and positivity, but his greatest legacies are the children he blessed this world with: Isaac Morris, Taylor Newson-Jefferson, and Barbara Jefferson. He is survived by his siblings Carmel, Ronald, David, and Steven Jefferson; his beautiful grandson Tyson Newson-Watson; and hosts of resilient family and terrific friends.
